Romney/Ryan Yard Sign and Bumper Sticker Update
With the Republican Presidential ticket finalized and the national convention just around the corner, we’ve gotten plenty of requests for yard signs and bumper stickers. The Georgia GOP just announced its plans to make yard signs and bumper stickers available to county parties and interested groups.
The FAQ below describes this process, and how you can get your signs and bumper stickers. Note that the deadline to make contributions to the Georgia GOP has been extended to September 3rd.
Briefly, what exactly is the plan?
Immediately following the national convention, the GAGOP will order 50,000 yard signs and 100,000 bumper stickers. These signs and bumper stickers will be distributed to county parties at an Atlanta rally sometime in mid-September. The number of signs a county will get is based on its share of the statewide McCain vote from 2008.
The Georgia GOP will order additional signs for distribution to county parties, district parties and other groups based on donations to the state party. Donations must come from individuals, however the group receiving the signs can be designated at the time of donation.
How many signs and bumper stickers will the Gwinnett GOP receive?
The Gwinnett GOP expects to get about 3,900 yard signs and 7,500 bumper stickers. That’s about 25 yard signs per precinct. These will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis, although we will hold some signs back to use at precincts on Election Day. We will get additional signs if there are donations to the GAGOP specifying the Gwinnett GOP as the sign recipient.
How can I get some signs for my group or organization?
The Georgia GOP is accepting donations to its sign fund. It’s expected that each $10 contributed will purchase 9 signs and 8 bumper stickers. While all contributions must come from individuals, the donor can designate which group should receive the signs.
You can make a donation by going to this website, and entering your personal and credit card information. If you would like the signs to be distributed to a county or district party, select the county/district in the My Team dropdown box. If you want the signs to go to another organization, like a Young Republicans group, College Republicans group, or even a Rotary or Kiwanis Club, put its name in the ‘Other’ box.
Can’t my group or company donate to the sign fund and get our signs that way?
All contributions must come from individuals because of Federal Election Commission rules. While the easiest way to donate is by credit card using the link above, you can also collect checks from individuals and use the form and instructions found here to send the checks to the state party. Just make sure you indicate which organization should get the materials.
What is the deadline for contributions, and when will the signs be delivered?
Contributions to the sign/bumper sticker fund must be made by Monday, September 3rd. The materials will be ordered after that, and typically take about two weeks to be printed. While no exact date has been announced, it’s likely that the signs will be distributed on September 15th or 22nd.
Will there be another opportunity for me to order signs or bumper stickers?
Probably not. Because of the closeness of the election and ordering/lead time issues, this is likely to be the only chance to receive signs via contributions to the Georgia GOP. Also at this point, we are not expecting to receive any materials from the Romney campaign, except what you might order from their store.
What if I or my group just go to a printer and have them print the signs?
Because this is a Federal election, there are some very strict Federal Election Commission rules that require documentation and reporting. By using this program, the Georgia GOP will handle all these issues. Plus, it’s highly unlikely you would be able to order signs this cheaply.
What if I want something else, like buttons, T shirts, coffee mugs, etc?
The best place to get other campaign material is the Mitt Romney Store.

Must you be a resident of Georgia to order? We are in CA and would like to order 100 yard signs if possible.
Bobbie, As far as we know, you don’t have to be a Georgia resident. The only thing you might be concerned about is the shipping cost of the signs and stands to California, which you would need to cover. Have you checked with the California GOP or possibly the Romney state or area coordinator to see about making a bulk order?
We are planning 2 small neighborhood gatherings for The Romney/Ryan ticket, one in mid September and the other late October. We would appreciate any signs and bumber stickers. I live in Cumming. When and where can I pick them up?
Thank you,
Skip Williams
Skip, if you’re in Cumming, you should probably check with the Forsyth County GOP. They will be be getting a supply of yard signs and bumper stickers as well. The other option would be for you to make a donation to the state GOP and designate your group to get the signs (or your group/Forsyth GOP.) That would guarantee your group gets the signs.
How do I order 10 bumper stickers for my family members?
Cheryl,
If all you need is ten bumper stickers, the will be available at Gwinnett GOP headquarters once we receive them.
Ok great when will that be and where do I go?
We don’t know exactly when the bumper stickers will arrive. Keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for an announcement. Our headquarters is at 46 South Clayton Street in Lawrenceville (near City Hall and the Magnolia Cafe.) We expect to have signs and stickers at the Gwinnett County Fair, the Duluth Fall Festival and other events around the county.
I just donated $150.00 to Romney/Ryan.
Where can I pickup yard signs? I live in Snellville, GA. I’ll bring a receipt.

Doug,
Did you do it through the link on this post? If so, who did you specify as the receiving County/District, and did you specify an ‘Other’ group? The signs are expected to be in sometime during the third week of September, and you would be able to pick them up at Gwinnett GOP Headquarters, assuming you specified the signs were for Gwinnett County.
I donated to the Romney/Ryan campaign via credit card and today donated toward the movie.
I have requested yard signs and bumper stickers. When will they be available. I live in Cumming (Forsyth).
Please let me know where and when I can pick them up.
Sincerely,
Skip Williams
Skip, only donations to the Georgia GOP as described in this post will qualify for the yard sign program. A direct donation to the Romney-Ryan campaign (while appreciated) does not. If you donated to the GAGOP, the signs will be available sometime around the third week of September at whichever county or district party you specified in the donation. If you donated directly to the Romney campaign, you’ll need to check with the Forsyth GOP about how they are going to distribute signs.
Thanks, I’ll contact the Forsyth GOP.
