2012 Election Schedule and Voting Information

The 2012 elections are upon us. Here is the information you need to know about voter registration, absentee ballots and when you can go to the polls.

General Election – Absentee Voting

September 21st through November 6th, 2012
Absentee ballots will be mailed starting on September 21st, and will continue until election day on November 6th. Absentee ballots must be returned to the Gwinnett Elections Office by 7 PM on November 6th. Request an absentee ballot here. Last Day to Register to Vote in the General Election

October 9th, 2012
If you want to be able to vote in the General Election or possible runoff, you must register to vote by October 9th. Download the Voter Registration Application Form, and mail the fully completed form to:

General Election – Early Voting

October 15th through November 2nd, 2012
You can vote early in person at the Gwinnett Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville. Early voting is available Monday through Friday from 8 AM through 5 PM.

General Election – Saturday Early Voting

October 27th, 2012
If you would like to vote early, but cannot visit the elections office Monday through Friday, you can vote on Saturday, October 27th at the Gwinnett Elections Office, 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville from 8 AM through 5 PM.

General Election – Satellite Early Voting

October 27th through November 2nd, 2012
On the Monday through Friday immediately prior to the Primary election, you can vote at one of Gwinnett’s Satellite voting offices between 9 AM and 7 PM. Satellite voting will also be available on Saturday, October 27th. Voting locations are at:

Election Day

November 6th, 2012
Polls are open on Election Day from 7 AM until 7 PM. You can find your poll location here.

On election night, you can see the results on the Secretary of State’s website.

General Election Runoff Early Voting

TBA – November 30th, 2012
If a runoff election is needed to settle a general election contest, early voting will be available at the Gwinnett Elections Office. Satellite voting will not be available.

General Election Runoff Election Day

December 4th, 2012
If needed, polls will be open on Election Day from 7 AM until 7 PM. You can find your poll location here.
